Refinishing removes the existing finish and sands the wood surface before stain, if selected, and new finish coats are applied. It can address many signs of surface wear and allows you to consider a different stain color.
Deep stains, damaged boards, and gaps may need separate repairs or a different solution. We explain those limitations before work starts.

Our sanding equipment uses a dust-containment system to collect dust as we work. This reduces airborne dust and cleanup compared with sanding without effective collection, although no sanding process is completely dust-free.

No. Suitability depends on the floor’s construction, remaining wear layer, previous sanding, and condition. Engineered flooring requires particular care when assessing whether sanding is possible; laminate cannot be sanded like hardwood.
Will refinishing fix gaps between boards?
Not necessarily. We assess whether gaps relate to seasonal movement, installation, or damage before recommending a treatment.
When can I walk on the floor and replace furniture?
Drying and curing depend on the finish and site conditions. We provide guidance for foot traffic, furniture, and rugs based on the product used.
